What We Do

Vincent Village provides homeless families a long-term continuum of care, training, and resources with empathy, dignity, and accountability.

Vincent Village supports unsheltered families facing crisis due to domestic violence, eviction, rising rents, and health concerns. Our two-phase program helps families transition from crisis to self-sufficiency.

Phase I: Vincent House Shelter

Phase I, the Vincent House Shelter, offers up to two years of transitional housing with intensive case management, focusing on crisis intervention, emotional support, and skill development.

In 2023-2024, Vincent Village provided vital support to families experiencing homelessness:

  • 24 families found refuge and support.
  • 5,438 nights of shelter were provided, ensuring families had a safe place to stay.
  • 75% of residents gained or retained employment during their time at the shelter.

An impressive 93% of families maintained stable housing — whether by transitioning to permanent housing, moving into longer-term transitional housing, or continuing to receive support within the shelter.

Phase II: Village Community Rental Homes

Phase II, the Village Community Rental Homes program, provides up to five years of housing with continued case management, rental subsidies, and support in financial planning, employment readiness, and education.

After stabilizing resident client housing through either the Vincent House Shelter or the Village Community Rental Homes, Vincent Villages focuses on serving clients through four priority areas: Health and Wellness, Employment and Financial Health, Transportation, and Family Resiliency.

Health and Wellness

Vincent Village addresses the physical and mental health needs of residents by providing on-site health screenings and access to mental health resources. Partnering with Parkview Health, we offer regular health assessments and coordinate healthcare services. Additional support from local healthcare providers ensures comprehensive care and early intervention, fostering residents' overall well-being.

Employment and Financial Health

Vincent Village supports residents in overcoming employment barriers by providing job training, resume writing, and interview preparation. Through partnerships with local organizations, we help families gain new skills, improve financial literacy, and secure stable employment. The relaunch of the HOME Academy offers workshops focused on employment and educational opportunities, laying the groundwork for financial independence.

Transportation

The Care Car Program eliminates transportation barriers for families, ensuring access to healthcare, job interviews, daycare, and essential services. By offering bus passes and dedicated transportation, we support residents in maintaining employment and accessing vital resources, fostering greater mobility and stability.

Family Resiliency

The Family Engagement Program provides individualized support to strengthen family bonds and promote long-term stability. Services include academic tutoring, parenting workshops, and daycare scholarships, all aimed at supporting parents' employment and educational pursuits. Families gain skills in communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building, ensuring a resilient foundation for future success.
